An outstanding book for the little ones in your life. I like the fact that the drawings are all bright and colorful and are extremely well drawn. The author suggests this book is written for ages 3 - 8 and grades P - 2. The other thing that caught my attention at the beginning is that it offers a page for the young ones to download with the question 'what color would you make Vinny?'. So, the kids can color Vinny the dinosaur whatever color they wish. Love that feature!! Nothing like keeping the little ones entertained for a few more minutes.I do think that a rhyming book is entertaining and much better than one that has no rhymes. And will keep the attention of the younger ones that either are reading by themselves or the ones you are reading to.Basically, Vinny plays soccer but ends up being kicked off the team due to his size. He was, you see, small and skinny, and just didn't fit the norm for a goalie on a soccer team. Well, I am here to tell you that Vinny gets his just reward in the end of this one. No spoilers as to the manner in which he achieved his 'goal' (oops - no pun intended!) but he does. A big shout out and a well done, Vinny!Just an outstanding book as it illustrates that with hard work and patience, one is able to achieve their dreams. Vinny did have quite the partner to help him train but that is part of the story so again, I won't tell you who that is. You will be impressed, am sure.Well done to both the author who is also the illustrator for this book.Most highly recommended.
